Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable during your visit. If you feel you would benefit from taking an oral sedative prior to your appointment please let us know at the time of scheduling to make arrangments.
Your first visit is all about you: your comfort, your happiness, and your health
Typically during your first visit, we will review your dental/medical history forms, take x-rays, clean and polish your teeth, complete an oral exam including an oral cancer screening and depending on your specific diagnosis create a treatment plan with you, that works for you.
At check-in, Lisa will greet you and welcome you to our office. If you didn't have a chance to fill out paperwork prior to your appointment, Lisa will have you fill out a Medical History Form and a New Patient Information Form. If you have dental insurance she will need to make a copy of your insurance card.
One of our amazing dental hygienists will usher you back to an operatory where she will take necessary x-rays, clean and polish your teeth, and inspect your teeth and gums for cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis.
Dr. Stuart or Dr. Stannebein will meet with you to get to know you. They will ask you questions related to your smile goals to find out what is important to you. They will complete a comprehensive oral exam and oral cancer screening, discuss your x-rays, answer any questions you may have, and help you create your individual treatment plan.
At check-out, Lisa will schedule any necessary future appointments and discuss financial obligations. She will be able to address any questions or concerns you may have about your insurance benefits and future treatment coverage.
What to bring to your appointment
- Patient information forms (if you print them off and fill them out)

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!
